Parents, School nurses, Public Health Nurses (PHNs), Pediatricians and lay screeners can greatly assist pediatric ophthalmologists in the management of amblyopia after this common vision impairment of the young is detected by screening. A child might be detected by failing their age-based critical line on an ABCD Home Acuity Screening Test Box. You can download a 75 KB pdf of the similar surround HOTV Home acuity Monitoring Box. the monitor differs from the screening box because, instead of a single critical line size, it has the surround HOTV optotypes in progressively smaller (logMAR) sizes from 20/60 down to 20/20. This Acuity monitor works best with the HOTV matching card and with patching of the non-tested eye. | |||||
