Difficult situation:

10-month-old Asian Pacific girl with blind, esotropic left eye with whitish retinal detachment, no vitreous seeding but may have nasal subretinal mass. No calcium on CT. Right eye clear on EUA. Reticular skin pigmentation on trunk and proximal limbs resembles pancake sea-ice. Click on images for enlargement.

Diagnosis: incontinentia pigmenti. Ideally these should be referred early and examined frequently so laser can be applied somewhat similar to ROP treatment.
