ABCD History

Patients with low vision can often perform / see better if objects are magnified. Monoculars and telescopes may help. It may be difficult for a low vision patient to locate or follow an object of interest with a single-power telescope. A combinations of high magnification plus zoom may be very beneficial. Consumer video cameras may be combined with consumer head-mounted monitors to accomplish this task at a reasonable cost. the video may be held and zoomed by the patient, or by a normal-sighted friend.
