The Distict 49-A and Distric 49-B Lions Clubs and members have contributed greatly to ABCD. Lions have purchased the Lion's share of ABCD MTI photoscreeners and have manned clinics in rural and urban Alaska. For several years, Distict 49-A Lions have sponosred a booth at the Alaska State Fair from which highly successful and valid screening on over 2500 children was offered free of charge. Seasonal safety-minded events in Anchorage and Fairbanks, and other communities are also available for community parents.
