Dr. Kurt Simons was a researcher at the Wilmer Institute with over 35 years history investigating amblyopia and vision screening. His major reviews in Survey of Ophthalmology on Pediatric Vision Screening (1996) and Amblyopia (2005) are classics. Among other important positions, Dr. Simons is a consultant to the Vision Screening Committee at AAPOS. Dr. Simons died 10/3/2019.
