The Lions Clubs, (International, Regional and local) have committted phenomenal amounts of money and effort toward community vision screening and provision of spectacles.

Lions supported the large, statewide photoscreening effort at Vanderbilt University as well as many other regional efforts. (Donahue SP, Baker JD, Scott WE, et al. Lions Clubs International Foundation Core Four Photoscreening: results from 17 programs and 400,000 preschool children. J AAPOS 2006;10:44-48.)
